The last time you bought and read a book?

Nowadays people are less frequently buying books due to the alternatives of internet and kindles, tablets, etc. But I always prefer to own a physical copy of a book, especially if it's one I really like, maybe that's just me.

  • It's not the book I'm reading, but it's my most recent purchase.

  • Didnt buy the bible but have been trying to hammer it out slowly. Started about a year ago. I gotta say it could make a good R rated movie. Pirated the hunger games trilogy. Glad I did because all it was was teenage smut.

  • I haven't bought a book that's not for school in a long time. I can't remember what the last one was. I've switched my reading from books to online content like news articles and blogs over the last 7 or 8 years.

  • I haven't actually read a book in so long its embarrassing. But who needs books when there's Wikipedia?

Buying books for my tablet doesn't count as buying a book? What. Either way, the last book I bought was Nate Silver's The Signal and the Noise. Haven't read it yet, though.

    • Im fairly impartial either way, but as an actor, i prefer the physical copy as its much easier for me to work with when im annotating things or studying a piece...

      • Once I've exhausted the local library's resources I buy books second-hand, but if I find anything particularly tantalizing in a shop that sells new books I won't hesitate to buy. About a month ago a brought a pile of second-hand sci-fi novels, and I still haven't got through them all.

      • Well I buy books on my Kindle and read them all the time...but I haven't read a physical book in months. Not only are e-books more convenient, they're also better for the environment. No need to cut down trees.

        • I haven't bought a book in a long time. Instead, I tend to get my books from a library or borrow them from people I know. I have never purchased nor read a book electronically, as I also prefer the physical thing.

        • I bought 6 or so at a used bookstore I found a bit ago. I basically spend all of my free time reading so it's hard for me to afford a physical copy of every single book I read.
