because there are actually legal highs in the UK that are killing people.
Except for prescribed drugs, drugs should remain illegal. I mean what do drugs do? Get you high and I would not like to see a high person drive or do anything for that matter because its dangerous.
And before you say people won't do drugs and drive, how many people would say they won't drink and drive?? It's just an accident waiting to happen.
Drugs that get you high have no use whats so ever

I clap you Paul you're not alone.

Edited by Garem: 2/24/2013 10:26:38 PMWeed is so much safer than prescription drugs.
-
Prohibiting drugs doesn't work, infringes on our freedoms, wastes tons of money, imprisons innocent people and only makes drugs more potent and available to children. Drugs should be legal, there isn't a single reason why they shouldn't be. Charge people that are irresponsible with a crime, it shouldn't matter what they had in their bodies.
-
Technically, prescribed drugs are illegal unless it is prescribed to you, but true, what people do to others while high is detrimental.
-
Coffee is the most widely used psychoactive drug. So, we should ban coffee.

Edited by lonepaul2441: 2/24/2013 10:27:36 PMOh grow up. You know exactly what I mean. Christ you druggies are like gun owners, pick out every little thing in order to get an argument in your favour. Drugs ruin lives FACT, Drugs (Non prescribed) have never improved lives and coffee isn't a drug its a dam drink.
-
Except some drugs like alcohol and cannabis are beneficial to health in moderation. Prohibition does more harm than drugs will ever do.
-
Hahahaha. You're ridiculous. It's so simple-minded to think that someone arguing against must automatically be on the opposite spectrum. The world is not black and white. There are shades of gray. Have you any evidence that non-prescribed drugs have never improved lives? Or is it all hearsay? There are 7 billion people in the world currently. Are you really trying to tell me that non-prescribed drugs have helped no one? Marijuana has been known to help chemotherapy patients, people with multiple sclerosis, and glaucoma just to name a few. In some states, doctors cannot prescribe marijuana because it is illegal, yet there have been a few doctors who recommended taking marijuana if the patient can get their hands on it. Marijuana in those instances are non-prescribed drugs. But no, that won't help them because it isn't prescribed. If coffee, which has caffeine, is not a drug, than neither is marijuana, which has THC. Fact is, coffee is the most widely used psychoactive drug, whether you want to accept that fact or not.
-
Weed doesn't ruin lives, idiot.
-
When it leads to harder drugs, it does. Bud is a gateway drug. FACT.
-
Absolutely not, alcohol is the gateway drug. Marijuana can help stop addictions. It isn't physically addictive like alcohol.
-
If we are going to talk about "gateway drug", caffeine would be at the top. Chances are at one point in someone's life they consumed caffeine. Coffee and soda are incredibly popular drinks, and both are mind-altering. But coffee and soda are so accepted as a norm in society, people don't view them as drugs, even though by the definition of drug, they are.
-
Edited by lonepaul2441: 2/24/2013 10:39:20 PMOf course not, people try it which makes them think the facts about other drugs are wrong which makes them try other more dangerous drugs. Its called a gateway drug for a reason and like I said to the other guy Weed doesn't kill directly but can harm you in other ways such as causing you to try more hard drugs.
-
Marijuana isn't a gateway drug, alcohol is. Marijuana can even help stop addictions.
-
Marijuana isn't a gateway drug
Come on now
-
It isn't, alcohol is.
-
So, if someone never takes alcohol, but does weed. Then, he/she tries cocaine. Then, heroin. So, what is weed in this case?
-
Nothing. Most likely, before they ever did weed, they consumed caffeine, either in coffee form or in soda form. Caffeine is the most widely used psychoactive and the most overlooked because it is now considered a norm in terms of society.
-
Very true, I don't use caffeine anymore thankfully. I have tons more energy and sleep way better because of it.
-
...odd, same here. I never drank coffee (tastes gross IMO) and I stopped drinking soda a few years ago. Are..are you...are you my clone....? :O
-
OH MY UNIVERSE! I hate the taste of coffee also! HAHAHAHA! ...BROTHER!
-
Hail brother!
-
HAHAHA!

A random drug someone happened to use first. Marijuana isn't physically addictive like alcohol, only psychologically. This is a mental disorder and in that case you can just as easily become addicted to food or sex. It's not the fault of marijuana, and it's shown that the starting drug in most cases is alcohol.
-
It's a gateway drug. Just because alcohol is a more common gateway drug, there can be more than just that.
