US vetoes UN vote for condemnation over Syrian bombing
Sorry in advance for finding a Russian-based article, but basically the US used its power as a G5 nation in the United Nations Security Council to strike down a vote to condemn a suicide bombing against the Syrian government (that also happened to hit the Russian embassy and a school).
The criticism was that the ultra-conservative Obama administration used double standards against the Syrian government instead of unconditional condemnation of all terrorist attacks.
I also would like to say that relations between the US and Russia are rapidly deteriorating.
highly doubt anyone who find that surprising. Its not like U.S cares about terrorists attacks that don't affect them. I am pretty sure most Americans did not know terrorism existed before 9.11
