I agree, and also you should add the #feedback to this comment, that helps it get noticed. I imagine that there is an ID associated with each tag, and once a tag is generated, whatevet text was used to create the tag is how it is displayed. Programatically there are a few workarounds for this, but the simplest and easiest to implement would be to have all tags lowercase. But I would recommend adding a new string variable to each post, and have this variable hold a string of tags as the user entered them, and not associate each tag with the string linked to the tags ID. This would allow the user to determine how the tag is displayed, and not have each variation of a tag spelling be unique. So #Feedback and #FeedBack are seen the same by the system, but is displayed how the user wanted the tag to be displayed.

  • Currently, the system uses the casing of the first use of the tag (like the Halo file tagging system). We might consider applying standardized casing to every tag in the future, but right now, we're not too concerned about it.
