Why would they want to attack us? If they blow us up, nobody will buy their stuff.

  • Primarily, they are just trying to get an upper hand in the markets. However, in event of war, they could really do a lot of damage to our infrastructure. Iran is also a danger, though I doubt they have the capacity to deal such a damaging blow to us.

We're discussing about their cyber capabilities. Besides, China has been able to gain air superiority in wargames through the utilization of missile and naval technologies.

I've never seen a cyber attack destroy infrastructure, so I assumed you meant an air raid, but I honestly can't see China gaining air superiority against the US, and especially not on our mainland (because we're much more technologically advanced and spend seven times as much as them on our military).
I've never seen a cyber attack destroy infrastructure,
Stuxnet and the Trans-Siberian Pipeline are a few examples, but the potential is there.
I honestly can't see China gaining air superiority against the US, and especially not on our mainland
Not on our mainland, but over the Taiwanese Straits. In my opinion, everyone worries about the wrong things when it comes to China. When their devestating attack comes, it will come without a shot fired.
