"Loves logic" >Destiny, raining on Mars.
-
Why? Is there a downside?
-
And people exploiting it. You can make yourself look like a noob when you're the highest level with god-tier gear.
-
So? This would only effect you in PvP and even then it's your fault for thinking you can judge your opponent based on their looks.
-
what if they want to look like a 'noob'?
-
Then they keep the old armor. Everybody happy!
-
they want the old armour but with better armour buffs, i see no problem in that.
-
And why does that matter? Far as we know, this issue would only be relevant in competitive multiplayer, and we don't even know how that works yet. Taking this into account, I really don't see an issue unless competitive multiplayer allows customized skills. And anyways, that would be your fault for underestimating a player simply on appearance. You should be prepared for all scenarios at all times, and if you aren't, you deserve what comes your way.
-
I didn't mean my reply to seem like it's only about Destiny, sorry for any confusions, but do we know anything at all about destiny's gameplay? Not really, no. And referring to your last couple of sentances; always think that the guy you'll eventually hand over your work to, whether it's code, a game or a book you're writing, is an idiot.
-
True that we don't know much about Destiny's gameplay, but as for the normal aspect of exploring the world and going on quests and such, it was mentioned in several articles that you're not going to get involved in any PvP matches unless you opt to do so, so I do think as far as the base game it shouldn't apply. However, the competitive multiplayer aspect does leave one wondering if this idea would work. Maybe just have it for the base game, but competitive multiplayer be more halo-esque of everyone starting off on the same foot.
-
And why is that bad? You can look like whatever you want. :/
-
No logic involved.
-
I don't understand what you're saying. No logic involved in what? Why is there no logic in something? What's the downside to additional customization?
-
There is no logic in the fact that you get new armor and because of this, your old armor gets better. Clearly I'm not super at explaining.
-
That's... not what I was saying whatsoever. I'm saying if you get new armor that IS better than the old one, it would be cool to just apply the skin of an old armor piece to the new one so we can have the better stats and still look how we want to look.
-
It's basically what I said, ritto. I just gave another example. You get a new armor and you're modifying it's appearance to look like your old armor. Something that only got one explanation; space magix. And I ahte space magix in games that should make sense.
-
Or... why can't the explanation just be that you have this armor that is better than the old one but has the same design as another model?
