• People keep linking that thread as if it actually explains anything.

  • It explains that you shouldn't read into the "beta" title being removed and that there are still changes going to be made. People think that just because "the beta is over" that this is the "final" B.net (meaning no polls, titles, 10 group limit, etc.) It's pretty straight-forward.

  • It's pretty clear what Bungie's vision for their new website is. That post is a complete non-answer. It doesn't address any of the concerns members have expressed, or indicate any actual, definite intentions for what will be done in the future. It's lip service, plain and simple.

That post is only an official christening of a statement that has been reverberated throughout the forums by other members for weeks now. Bungie sets out to follow their plan and they improve it based on community feedback. That's the way it always has been. That post wasn't supposed to tell you want you wanted to hear. It's only the rational truth that members needn't concern themselves with the removal of the 'beta' text. Relatively speaking, nothing has changed with the way the site is being updated as far as we can tell. I don't understand the need to fret over the alleged 'final' status of B.net considering it's false and that updates will still be made.
