You can't be banned if you don't go there.
Before Halo 4 was released I would go there pretty often, but seeing as how I don't like to stir things up a lot, I wasn't banned.
I don't like Halo Waypoint because other than discussion value, there's absolutely no reason to go there. The staff of 343 has made it completely clear that they don't care about their community, so why be part of it? I would give them more points if they made sub-par Halo games and at least showed a little more dedication to their fans.
Not to mention the user interface and speed of that website is god awful. And not only that, the way they ban people is completely childish. No matter how bad things have gotten at Bnet, the Ninjas have been sensible in their decisions most of the time, rather than banning everyone for life. This place is infinitely more classy.

I know they don't even see the forums crying. There was a recent podcast and they answered a question from the community. The question was "Are you aware of how bad halo 4 is?". They responded "No". There is a HUGE custom game thread and after 3 months. They replied to it with "we are working on it". They don't realise that we don't like 343i/COD halo. We want the old school arena style gameplay like halo 1-2-3 and somewhat of reach had. We don't want a "Codified Reach"

Which is why they're rereleasing halo 2 and now everyone is choking on 343i's sack claiming they're better than Bungie.
