No. This is a bad idea because you have live guns on school grounds. Parents won't allow it. The only program that should be handling guns is the JROTC program. Period.

The reason schools get shot up so much is BECAUSE they're gun-free. Your logic is backwards.

I sort of said off campus at an NRA certified Range with NRA certified instructors...

Doesn't change my answer. Teaching people how to shoot a gun is pointless. Especially in an area where the training will be of zero use.
