What about people that grow up with only a single parent? My cousin grew up with only a mother (artificial insemination) and he turned out perfectly fine.
Their is no difference between this and having two parents of the same sex, other than the amount of parental figures there are.

While there may be some circles that still look down on single parents, specifically single mothers, it is still regarded as a bit more "normal" than having two parents of the same gender. This will most definitely affect how the child is raised because it presents unique challenges. I don't think that same-gender parents are any less capable of providing a loving and nurturing environment for a child than a hetero couple/straight single parent, but acting like there's no difference between the situations is just asinine.

You fail to post any evidence other than a stereotypical opinion that only applies in movies and stories on what the mother and father bring to the household, and how they are more superior than any other combination of parents.
