Actually there are atheists that want it to be classified as such, so that they can get the same governemnt benefits and protection.

Now I hope you aren't generalizing with this. That is just a case of idiots being greedy. It would be pretty hypocritical of you, since you get annoyed at me when I ever generalize most of Americans.

I dont think it is a generalization, since it is an actual group of like minded atheists, wishing to receive the same tax exempt status that religions groups do as well for their organization.
