It's probably just me, but doesn't anyone else find it odd or even a little irritating that this is not on the front page HERE?
Front page article:
In a matter of days, we're going to give you your first glimpse into the vision and ambition that's driving the creation of our brave new world. To make room for the resulting chatter, we've launched some official social media channels.....
-No date
-Publicized on other sites that loyal B.net members may or may not be a part of and could miss out
I do not understand.
This social media stuff is totally annoying to me.
English
-
Uhhhh.. it most likely WILL be posted here. ALONG with everywhere else.
-
Will. Why not IS? B.net is here, up and running. Why not provide the same, if not more information where it should be and would be more appreciated? It is as though they intentionally don't care about those faithful to this site.
-
Anything posted to their social media pages are posted on B.net as well. Go to the front page, scroll down, BAM. Social feed. If I recall correctly, B.net were the only ones to get the ARG, THEN it spread like wildfire. It will be posted on B.net, just you wait and see, they wouldn't neglect us like that.
-
Like I said earlier, I don't understand all the social media aspects, nor see their need. Not everybody is all linked into all that stuff.
-
Then just stay tuned to Bungie.net on Sunday, that's what I'll be doing.
-
Facebookers are a tad slow and need a little more spoonfeeding
-
That really wasn't my point. I mean it should be HERE! Any and all announcements, exclusives, dates, times, details,... HERE. Not all over social internet world.
-
You can't blame them for making sure that lots of people know about Destiny.
-
The only people who will know are the ones linked to their respective pages. That is very likely just us (B.net members). That said, with all those who have withdrawn from B.net post beta, this may be an attempt to get them to be aware. But I still don't understand giving more attention to outside sources than here.
-
I see what you're getting at but maybe they just expect us to be the ones that will search on our own for when it drop. I don't really have a problem with that.
-
Edited by defnop552: 2/12/2013 7:21:26 PMYeah, I'm very disappointed. It's like the PR department said, "lets make an ARG...... but lets just tell them exactly whats going to happen anyway". I think it's just a little disappointing that we don't even need to continue with the game. Bad move.
-
You don't even know what's at the end yet...
-
Edited by defnop552: 2/12/2013 7:26:56 PMWell, we were already told that there's an official announcement for the confirmed game Destiny on the 17th of february. Unless the ARG is about a completely different game, it's likely going to be about destiny. They should have waited until the ARG was complete before announcing anything, that's what I think.
-
Well some times the ARG is like a backstory of sorts. They might use real world places, things, or the internet to tell a different part of something. Its also to get us hyped up for the game. Bungie also knows how quick the community is on finding things, take the Iris ARG for example.
-
We already knew that something significant was going to happen on the 17th anyway, just by looking at the ARG. I'm pretty sure Bungie knew they might be spoiling the whole idea if the reveal date was the only interesting thing about the ARG. I'm guessing that there will be all sorts of interesting things being discovered in the days to come.
