You're near the end of your life. You can play any games from your youth. What do you play?
Let us say you plan ahead. You keep an Xbox or two (Or another kind of console.) around for when your older, that way you can play all your favorite games one day when you're an old fart like (Do I say it?) Recon. (I said it.) What games do you choose to save copies of?

-The Halo Series (Duh)
-Destiny Series (Duh again)
-Minecraft
-Mario Kart (Game Cube)
-Some of the old Star Fox games
-Various Lego games

Also, there are great emulators all the way up to the first Xbox for PC that are great. No need to keep a whole bunch of old consoles, though they may be worth some money way down the road.

Personally, I probably wouldn't even pick any from my childhood. They'd bore me to tears with me now being use to more fast paced games.

Assuming my friends were there, we still had all the cool custom games (maybe even more to try out ?), I'd get all of them together to play 8-player LAN on custom games. If the servers were still adequately populated, we'd play some games there and invite more.

1 ReplyThis is too broad, bro, so I'm going to apply a few restrictions to my list: First, only games I played before I was 18. Second, I'll restrict myself to 3 games/game series. 1. Halo series, obviously. 2. DOOM and DOOM II. [The nostalgia is true with this one.] 3. Super Smash Brothers. [Hopefully all my old buddies would still be alive with me.] After that it's a massive jumble of Elderscrollstotalwarfireemblemmedalofhonorcommandandconquertotalannihilationbattlefield.

Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic. It was more than just a game. It was an experience like no other at the time. Never before had I felt myself so immersed into a gaming world. The setting, the characters, the scenery, and the story all meshed together masterfully. If I was going to die, and I could play only one more game, Knights of the Old Republic would be the one.
