Only problem with it, is when people come to this country then try to get the law changed to fit with their culture.

  • If they can get enough people to agree that the law should be changed, then why shouldn't it (unless it goes against your Constitution)?

    How about the muslim extremlists who want Shariah law implemented? The people want the entire law changed so it's matches their culture without consideration for other cultures? "How about no?"

  • I think that that would go against the Constitution (I don't know the details about constitutional issues in the UK, but I don't think that they would allow for the more extreme elements of Sharia law).

    We had examples of a muslim majority in a community saying "if our neighbours don't like us beating our women, then make them move and make this neighbour a muslim one". They seriously feel they should have their own laws in OUR country. Muslims can practice their religion like the 80+ others here, but if some of their religious practices go against our laws then they should be smart enough not to do it. Big example is the Gurkha tradition of killing a sheep with their Kurki (Their knives) but because its animal cruelty they kill melons instead.
