I enjoy Dragon Ball Z so much that more is always good to me. Even with how off the rails it got in the Buu saga, I still just loved DBZ.
And as far as the major sagas go, I list them Cell Saga > Saiyan Saga > Frieza Saga > Buu saga. The Goku/Cell battle was the best in the series, the dynamic the Cell arena brought to it made it interesting, Piccolo/17 was fantastic, Trunks was a bad-ass, Android 16's speech to Gohan, Vegeta getting wrecked by Perfect Cell after being so confident. Most of the most memorable and best moments from the series for me come from the Cell saga.

Its not just anger that makes you go to the next level fatman. You have to be at the limit and peak of your current form and then get angry. Gohan was a full powered super saiyan. Vegeta had only ascended a bit over regular super saiyan. And gohan became a ss2 because of what cell juniors were doing to his friends and father but seeing 16 die was the last straw. But not because him and 16 were good buddies but because an innocent person died because he would refuse to fight. If it was hercule he wouldve still transformed.

Well its obvious he had to be at peak super saiyan 2 to become one. But its not just anger its also a need. Like when a saiyan is about to die and he can feel death inching ever so closer. When his survival spirit also kicks in and he refuses to die. Being already dead goku mustve been in some intenste training that even he couldnt handle and dying while being a soul would make goku cease to exist. Also, why you greentexting?

Again, with Bardock there is so much potential. They made him travel through time. They could have done SO MUCH with that concept and they went with LOLNO BARDOCK GOES SSJ LELELELELELEL And on another note even the TFS episode of that I really didn't like.

How about an OVA with bardock, which includes the entire sayain race fighting Frieza. They've become alot stronger and an entire race of incredibly strong sayains is causing harm to frieza. Cell comes in, and using the cells he got from Goku, starts gathering all of the energy from other world, like a spirit bomb, and the normal universe. This spirit bomb, combined with Cell's power and Frieza's blast caused an explosion so large it destroys the fabric between Other world and Normal world. Frieza goes to the normal world, Earth, to say hai to kakarot and Bardock follows him. Here he meets Goku and...wel you know where this is going.

Actually, as far as we know, Vegeta never became Super Saiyan 2. Goku does it through Kai planet training, Gohan does it because he's got massive ki power just waiting to be unleashed. Vegeta didn't have that (and was a jerk and jerks can't be Super Saiyan 2).

But it was obvious he was a SSJ2 when fighting Kid Buu, toei's laziness to not animate lightning around him is what makes alot of people he never became one.

The saiyan saga had the grittiest battles, I loved how it ended with everyone smashed to hell and krillin standing over vegeta with yajirobe's katana.
