the US Army went mormon hunting

Mormons move West. Want to start own country. US government isn't having it. Sends out troops once things get tense. Year long "War" where the Mormons militia harasses the US Army. No actual battles, but several casualties. President says he'll pardon all Mormons if they accept the US Government as their government. It works.

TL;DR Utah is an awful state.
