So Flood, what's your overall opinion on the Dark Knight Rises?
I'm rewatching it right now. First time I watched it I liked it. Second time I thought it was better than the Dark Knight. Third I started realizing some obvious flaws.
Now the more I think of it, the more I hate it.
What do you think Flood? How was it?

7/10 Good film and by far the most ambitious blockbuster I have ever seen. However the story loses a lot of its power/momentum because it is spread out over a long period of time (6 months waiting for the Batman?). This is in contrast to the dark knight which takes place over a couple of days and never drops the tension/action. The epic scale of the proceedings also leaves numerous plot holes which means that repeat viewing is a bit painful. The video, however provides endless enjoyment.

I'm in a similar boat, whereas the more I see it the more I notice just how "messy" it is. I still enojoy the movie, but compared to how tight TDK was, TDKR was really just kind of sloppy.

I loved it the first time, but the second and third time was when I started seeing the flaws in the film and gradually started to dislike it. It's still a [i]good[/i] film, but I wouldn't put it in my top 20.

Not as good as the Dark Knight, but still a good movie. Considerably better than The Avengers, despite Whedon's magic touch.
