Black History Month Is Stupid
Does anybody else agree? I'm not raciest. I believe that all people are equal, and some of my best friends are minorities. I do however believe that being proud of something you cant control is stupid. If I proposed a white history month, id be called raciest. So why can one group of people, who say that they oppose inequality, do the exact same thin without any opposition?
Im serious, btw. This really does annoy me.

Which white history month would you like? There are several. Italian History? German History? Irish History? Pretty much EVERY group has a heritage month. They may not get the press that Black History Month gets, but they exist.

They're an oppressed minority, if you want your own month, you go through a bunch of shit, like the Irish or Italians or Jews as well as the Asians, Blacks, and gays.

While I don't understand it, it doesn't bug me and I don't find it stupid necessarily. I'm not a firm believer of living in the past, but I can't ignore the insanity they went through to get equal rights, and it wasn't that long ago that they obtained it. If people want a month to celebrate it, and that's what makes them happy, so be it. There's no reason to get upset over it, though I do agree with you in a small way.

Do you really think you're the first person to comment on this whole "white history month would be racist" idea? Every year someone complains about Black History month and usually fail to realize why it even exists. It's to show their contributions to American society regardless of them being oppressed until 50 years ago (which is still pushing it). There are multiple months for different race groups.
