Dont you need to find the instantaneous rate of change for certain medicines and liquids? I'm pretty sure you need these concepts and mathematical application.

  • Actually anyone who administers medication in any setting should know how much to use and factor in the rate of change in which the body will utalize that. Also, I don't think computers do all of that for every setting.

  • I don't doubt that, but you wouldn't always rely on a computer. If that were the case, then engineers wouldn't be bothered to learn math all the way up to Calculus III or DifEq. There's concepts involved.
