Like New Game Plus from Arkham City?
Eh I guess so. But maybe not as two dimensional as amped up difficulty. Maybe new enemy types? More legendary animals? A food mode where you decrease in health over time if you don't eat something?
Just spit balling of course.

More like in Borderlands 2. The difficulty is ranked up considerably and there are loads of new enemies.
