Crysis 3 has turned noob friendly. You hardly have to keep in mind your energy, which was a huge thing in Crysis 2. Energy usage. Should I sprint to the action and risk getting caught off guard with low energy? Should I sneak into a fight with camo and risk getting shot on low energy? Should I turn on armor before going in this room? You had all these options and conscious choices you had to make. Crysis 3 eliminates this kind of thing and turns it into hurp-durp-cawwadoody run and gun. Infinite sprint, power jumps, power actions, different meters for different things, and even blatant assist features like auto armor. Crysis 3's attempt at making the player feel more bad ass eliminates the mental bad ass side of Crysis, the need to consciously make decisions and have options in regards to what's going on. You couldn't mindlessly do something, you'd die so much. Mindless play style is much more viable in Crysis 3.

  • I disagree. Personally I believe that energy usage was far too limited and nanovision was far too op. I was actually a top ranked crysis 2 player as well (Ranked 80 in the world for K/D for quite a while) and honestly infinite sprint and jump are not problems in crysis 3. It adds a new dynamic because now it is easier to get away from a situation. I am personally in favor of infinite sprint and jump, it makes the game faster paced. As for mindless playstyle that is in every game lmao. You have idiots who have no idea what they are doing and just die.. a lot and you have players who are average and then you have players who play smart and do well. I personally believe this game is much better than crysis 2, unfortunately I see it being overlooked by many people.

The things you like that these new features add to the game are counter productive to competitive gameplay. Sprint is bad enough in any game as is because it allows someone to bail from a bad situation they got theirselves in a lot easier. You could still do that in Crysis 2, but you were still punished with losing energy. Being punished for a bad play is good. Likewise, infinite jump and sprint do not speed up gameplay anymore than Crysis 2 did, it may even make it slower. What's slower? Shooting a guy for his armor to auto activate, him running away with his infinite sprint, then going around a corner and switching to camo then kiilling you? Or shooting a guy, he either dies because he forgets armor, or turns it on and then loses it, and then you kill him? He may or may not make it around that corner, but he won't have any energy to go into camo and kill you. It's really the dillema that Halo 4 finds itself in. The developers thought sprint would speed up gameplay, but now anyone can bail out of a bad situation they got themselves in and not get punished.

  • This has been happening in every game for years now. Casuals are the cancer that is killing off good games.
