I think this must be specific to your friends or maybe age range? I haven't seen any trend toward girls wanting to be less "girly."
And who decides what's girly and what isn't anyway? What are "girl" interests? I like:

I have a hard time believing so many of you have yet to notice this online, considering this is where I see it the most. (The internet in general I mean, not this site)

Once you're old and married, the only interests that matter, are yours and your partner's. Not someone who is on the internet pretending or not pretending to like something. How do I know if they actually like something or not or are just saying it for attention and why should I care?
