No one owns military grade assault weapons unless they are illegal.

Wrong, you can get them, but it is very difficult.

Right but the people who LEGALLY own them do not commit crimes with them. I guarantee you 99.999999% of all crimes committed with a "military assault rifle" are from people who illegally own them.

Well to be honest, there have only been two incidents in the past 75 years i believe using full auto assault rifles.
