When you are bald, it's either always or never "a bad haircut".

One of the reason I still refuse to shave my head, I have this bad feeling i'll fall into the "always" end of the spectrum.

You may want to find out whether or not you have the skull for bald while you still have the ability to grow your hair back. That way, if you don't have the dome for it (like all bumpy or misshapen) you can let your hair grow back and then do whatever it takes to make sure that your hair stays.
