Best Gaming Laptop/Desktop?
I recently read [url=http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/18/50-pc-exclusive-games-in-2013]an article[/url] on IGN about 50 PC exclusives coming this year. At first I was interested in checking out the new consoles being released this year, but this article sort of changed my mind. Plus, Crysis 3 looks and runs better on PC (go ahead, argue with me about a fact), and while I enjoy playing on the big screen and usually prefer to use a controller rather then a keyboard, I really want to get some of these games. The problem is, my laptop is fairly messed up and outdated. [b]So, Flood, what laptop/desktop should I get? [/b]

I'd recommend getting a Desktop. You should research what the main components are, for example the processor, ram, and graphics card. You will need at least an Intel i3 (i5 or i7 recommended) and 4gigs of ram (8 or 12 recommended). Or you could get a pre-built one which should be at least $1000 or more to be considerably good.

I built my own on PCSpecialist. Incredible site and incredible quality. CyberPowerSystems is a good one. They occasionally throw in a free game.

Laptops overheat and can be more easily broken than towers (depending on position etc...).

Yea I would recommend building your own desktop, it's cheaper than a prebuilt and cheaper than a laptop. Just google "PC building guide" and you will find plenty of helpful info on how to do it. Also you said you prefer controllers over keyboards, you can plug any xbox or PS controller in your PC. If you want you can also plug your PC into a TV so you don't have to set at a desk.

A desktop and a small laptop Should cost around $1500 total, which is the same as a decent gaming laptop, but is more powerful (and portable)
