Well, first off...you're not "Atheist", you're "an atheist".
Really, don't bring it up unless you have to, especially if you depend on your family for food/shelter/money/etc.

They aren't going to kick me out or not feed me. They aren't tyrants

Still, he does have a point. Is there really any necessity to bring it up at all? Unless they involve you with religious activities that really inconvenience you...or that cause you extreme discomfort or actual pain, I see no need for it.
-
no I probably won't bring it up. Just out of curiosity what religious things do you think Baptist do that would cause actual pain? I was a Christian for 16 years and never experienced any pain involving a religious ceremony
-
Yes, well, you apparently don't get headaches and feelings of sickness from hearing or reading Christian religious texts....
-
well...I mean who does...I have never heard of that before. Sounds like what the Puritans would say to classify someone as a witch during the Salem Witch Trials
-
I don't expect it to be a common thing, but that's what happens to me...headaches, feelings of illness, dizziness, and I'd probably pass out after an extended period of time. Almost did when my girlfriend was reading the bible to mess with me and I almost blacked out in her room after the previously mentioned symptoms had kicked in. She doesn't do that to me anymore due to that little incident...

You're so dark and edgy.
-
That's an awfully silly thing to say, i'm only being honest after all.
-
what the hell dude
-
I dunno. Apparently I didn't care for Christianity or church when I was a kid either, i'd always start to cry when the service started until someone would take me home.
