No. We have plenty of food sources without having to resort to eating each other.

Who says it has to be a last resort? Just something new to add in.

I mean we don't have to eat people at all because we have plenty of other food sources. There'd be no point in adding human flesh to the menu.

And not all of the food sources are "necessities", i'm sure.

I am not disagreeing with you there. We just have so many food items to choose from, adding something else, something as taboo as human flesh would be unnecessary.

And I see your point as well. However, plenty of things that were deemed "taboo" in the past have become more or less acceptable in society now. As we evolve further collectively, this will continue. Maybe this could become a reasonable possibility once we get that far, if we do.
