If I'm reading this correctly, this person wants post--blam!- abortions to be illegal because that will somehow stop the rapist? Someone took the fast lane to full retard and blew right past it.

  • If the rapist is someone the victim knows they may try to "coerce" them into getting one in order to destroy evidence. That is what they are talking about.

  • Eh...so does that mean the victim would not be able to get an abortion of her own volition because the courts may see it as the attacker coercing her into getting rid of evidence? There is nothing in the current wording that would protect the victim, if she chose to do it on her own. The wording is vague and needs to be changed.

  • Yeah it isn't worded all that great, but they would need to prove that the victim acted with the intent of covering up the crime. Which would be pretty hard if she has already reported it, which would be one of the few ways the police would even be aware of the situation.
