Yes, but there have been studies done that suggest adding spaces between paragraphs improves readability. It makes it easier to mentally break down the content of the page.

I read books all the time. Most books indent the first line of a paragraph to help the reader visually breakdown the page and recognize paragraphs. Since indention isn't available, the next best alternative is adding lines between paragraphs.
