The removal of titles and prefixes was stupid and unnecessary.

My take: This is a beta system. We already know that it wasn't fully done, as they haven't even ported over the old topics. Based on this knowledge, I am assuming they didn't bother with titles because they are likely subject to change (There was some disparity towards the end, and they really needed tweaking). Just be patient. I am really hoping they put some work into them. I think the weightings were off. for example, Exalted (no bans or warnings for 3 years) overwrote Elder (Activity for 6 years). I felt that this was wrong, and would rather have a more linear progression, or have something different for bans, etc.

Also, DeeJ didn't say titles were coming back. He said us long standing members would have our Legacy rewarded. He used Legacy a lot. Legacy.. hmmm..

As others have stated, DeeJ has promised the return of a similar feature. My theory for this however is not that he witheld them because this is a BETA, but because they are somehow related to the new universe. As they have not officially broken darkness on the new universe, I am sure that there are a handful of features that are Destiny related. The titles we used to have were somewhat Halo related, so it makes sense for this to be true. I am betting we will see these new feature emerge when we start hearing more about their new universe.

O they will return, this is a "beta" bro. Once some of the bugs get worked out there will be plenty of hotness and recognition of Bungie's oldest/dedicated members.

1 ReplyDays it took for people to get upset about titles: 0. Thanks for answering that questions so soon. But really, titles were in all honesty, completely and utterly useless. The Blue hat was cool, but i dont need it to feel good about myself as a person/user.

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure that it's going to be brought back in the final finished forum... Thing. This is a beta after all, but I do agree. I miss my Fabled Legendary title godamnit.
