It's as bad, if not worse, than every movie mentioned in this thread so far. Aside from Plan 8 from Outer Space which actually is the worst movie ever.
I don't agree with that. While Spiderman 3 has plenty of problems, it also has a number of redeeming elements that countless other bad movies cannot begin to offer. The cinematography is very well composed, better than most movies. Especially in the department of camera movement. The special effects are better than the average action flick. The Sandman's part within the narrative is actually fairly well written. There are no glaring faults in the acting department at all, and the leads actually do a very good job, with only a few minuses here and there (although there are some moments that no actor could probably handle well within context of this film).
I beg to differ. Tobey Maguire's performance alone is enough to get the film voted as bad one. You know that it (most likely the evil dance scene) effectively killed his career.
His performance was not bad throught the film. In fact, it was pretty good throughout the majority of the film. That dancing scene was just awful, but I blame the direction and (especially the) writing for that. That scene would make anybody look like an idiot.
You know that it (most likely the evil dance scene) effectively killed his career.
No it did not. He got a lot of praise for his role in Brothers which was a couple years later. Most people have the sense to see that one mistake doesn't equal much in the entirety of a person's talent.
