When does the outdoor power tool usage curfew lift?
I have a very irregular sleep schedule, sometimes 8am - 5pm, or 1am - 11am. You get the idea. Anyways, two days ago my neighbour used a chainsaw to cut down some branches growing on his palm trees. This was at around 10am, as far as I know. It still annoyed me and I couldn't sleep because of it, but I had stayed up late the previous night. No issues.
But this morning, I got to bed at around 2am. He woke me up with power tools at freaking 7:30am. On my holidays. This is just ridiculous to me. To get him back, I threw some of my dog's shit over the fence later that day. A '-blam!- you', if you will.
So my question to you Flood (if I may still call you that) is at what time should the curfew of outdoor power tool usage be lifted? 8am? 9am? Share your thoughts.
Also, what do you think of waging a little bit of neighbourhood warfare? Did I overreact by throwing animal feces over his fence? I was having a shit day anyways.

Edited by halo: 1/22/2013 5:58:50 PMI would leave a note or something politely asking he stop using power tools so early. People will do those things if they believe nobody is going to be upset about it, once he figures that out, it'll stop, trust me.

Depending on how much faeces you throw (and the animal it's from...), I'd say you reacted as any rational person would have. Quite frankly, I think you were too civil. You should pee all around his house and challenge him to remain the dominant alpha.

It always makes me laugh when people like you go to extremes for things like this. Instead of being a douche bag to your neighbor who most likely doesn't realize what he's doing, why don't you just call the police via NON-EMERGENCY and have an officer come out to speak with him?

6 RepliesI'm so sorry your neighbor doesn't follow your sleep schedule. Perhaps he should consult you each evening to see what your sleep plans are so he can base his life around yours.
