I'm only on chapter 3, but so far only 2 of the 3 chapters I've played are new maps. One is a night variant of a campaign mission. It's no different; all you're doing is pushing buttons. Anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves.

Honestly though, how many objectives can you put into a first person shooter? Kill stuff, and activate something. It's the story and meaning behind it all that makes it good.

All there is to the story is just Palmer saying "save those eggheads!" and the people on the Infinity ordering you to go here or there. The only good story piece is the pre-rendered cutscenes. They hinted to us being able to fly the Phantom in chapter one. I was like "Yes! Maybe IGN was right!" But it just devolves into 4 or 5 button pressing situations.

Actually, Palmer didn't even insult scientists this chapter, and was generally less cocky. Really though, it feels like you're a Spartan and you're doing what Spartans do best, -blam!- stuff up. It just has a story now, unlike Firefight. But Firefight WAS customizable. :(
