Guns do protect your rights. Anyone can force someone into being submissive using force taking away their right to voice. If you have a firearm, then you can protect yourself against anyone trying to do that. It's not all about the government becoming tyrannical and taking all your rights away, it's about anyone trying to do that.

I agree with this user. Anyone and I mean ANYONE that finds the second amendment unimportant really needs to check their shit carefully before saying that or even declaring that, because it is unwise and foolish. It is a right and your rights are important. Take one right away and eventually all of your rights are taken away.

probably not but even not knowing HOW they work i still know that if you have a handgun and they have an AR-15, pretty sure you would do as he said.

Because a handgun is impossible of hurting someone with an AR-15 right? Wrong. You can shoot and kill someone with a .22 snub nose revolver even if the person had a .50 caliber rifle. You're still defending yourself and not letting yourself be taken over.
