What if we are, in fact, the result of the breeding of ancient human being and aliens? And after generations upon generations of breeding a supreme alien / human hybrid was created that hybrid being us.

Except for the fact that genetically, we are clearly related and directly linked to every other species on the planet and only differ from them by small variations in our DNA.

What if the aliens simply stepped in and helped the life on Earth evolve to give it a chance again to rise to prominence in the galaxy? The only way that this theory could be disproven is if the aliens come down here from outer space and tell us that they didn't come here in the past.

Using that logic, God himself will have to show up to tell people that their religion is not accurate. Believe what you'd like. But if you're trying to get people to share your beliefs? You'll probably have to try harder/better.

What if God is in fact the alien being that came down to help evolve humankind? It make perfect sense. Our ancestors always point up to the stars as a source of their knowledge, wisdom and salvation. Point up to the aliens, to the stars.
