I think it really has to do with society in general having a bias towards teenagers in general. So it's really hard to expect it to work the other way around in today's generation.

So because their is a general bias towards my generation, they think the best way to act is commit crimes, only worsening the bias against us? God damn it, my generation is full of idiots.

I mean the average law abiding teenager is still biased against because of the stigma of being a teenager in today's generation. Majority take a small situation and spread it accross a whole group of people. So I'm sure most teenagers can feel hostility while going anywhere. So it's really hard to blame teenagers for having no respect for the elderly when there is no mutual respect. Again law abiding teenagers, sorry for not clarifying. You don't have to try and insult my intelligence when I'm clearly not from your generation.
