Assuming this is on a life basis, the CoD/Battlefield players win because more players means more lives. if its on a killcount/score basis, then its a closer fight, but team CoD/Battlefield most likely wins again due to the fact that 3 guns do more damage faster than one.
A more interesting fight would be 100 v. 100 in a real life scenario.

Boy, this is ArmA II, we don't play with respawns. If you die, your dead, end of story.

Edited by Goatman: 1/19/2013 6:56:18 AMthen its scenario 1. Team CoD/BF wins due to the fact that it doesn't matter how good you are, you'll eventually be caught by a camper or rushed while reloading, and when the enemy has such a large numerical advantage, they can afford to make more mistakes. and if the game is timed, then it doesn't matter if you don't get killed, if more of them survive than you, then universal elimination mode rules dictate the team with more players living wins by default.

doesn't matter what you call it, all it takes is one guy hiding behind a door with a shot gun to take you out, and CoD is famous for that.

Engagements are at ranges from 100-300 meters... No one who plays Arma is stupid enough to just walk into houses, you breach and clear.

fine then. All it takes is one lucky shot from a guy camping in a bush with a sniper. Argue all you want, FPS games aren't all that different from each other. It won't take long for the CoD players to figure out what they're doing. Also, you've got to account for dumb luck. I've gone into games I've never played before and gotten triple kills and such right off the bat, and I've gone 1-12 in games I've played consistently for over a year. It doesn't matter how much of a vet you are, you aren't invincible. Also, how closely do you think someone is new to a game will play by the rules of said game? Every game has its own general strategy that works, because everyone plays by a similar strategy. Now what happens if someone breaks that strategy? the players still playing by it get caught off guard. What happens when you get caught off guard? you -blam!- up.
