I'm mixed. I don't really believe God built the Earth in just 6 days, I believe the Earth was built and has been around for billions of years. I do, however, believe in their ideals and their morals. Of course, I go to an all Catholic private school, so I was bound to pick up some sort of belief.

You actually may not believe in 'their morals'. Also no one has a monopoly on morality. You can reason out and find a good moral system on your own without a book telling you. Do you believe that it is moral to own a slave, or tell a father to kill his child? If you don't, then you don't agree with the bible. You are more moral then what what the immoral bible preaches.

Lol stfu would you and quit trying to make me and the religion look bad. A lot of people use religion as a foundation for morality. Believe it or not, but it helps a lot of lost people find their way. Not everyone is capable of finding good morals on their own.

Yes they are but they lack the conviction. Sure one could argue that the Bible [i]gives[/i] them that conviction. But if they were that weak-minded in the first place then anyone could get their shit together. Maybe finding religion is good for them but regardless of their newfound morality, religion isn't necessarily perfect. Loads of people have been killed in the name of god. Some people who find their way because of religion isn't really enough to justify all of the wrongs that religion has caused the world. Sure it's got its good points, but it's got its bad points too. I can't really see why people are still arguing this as if it's going to really change anything.

I think it's entirely reasonable for Christians to not consider Genesis to describe a literal 6 days.
