"Calm Down Its a Beta..."
I have seen this A TON in response to people not liking the new layout. Everytime someone says they don't like it or the old b.net was better some asshole comes in and says "You see those blue letters at the top of the page? That means this is a beta hurr-durr" You people are throwing this around as if b.next is going to be completely different from the beta... The fact that it is a beta means that is is pretty late in development... For example, how different was Halo Reach from the beta? Sure there were minor changes but the game in itself was still the same. So what I do not get is why you people are hidding behind the blue letters... What happens when the word beta is gone and the site is still a monstrosity? I do not get why people think the actual site is going to be completely different and an absolute utopia.

I kind of agree. I think people have gotten a bit complacent about the major problems and don't bother complaining anymore. Fact is, there's a lot that needs to be fixed.

I'm just waiting for Coup to come back and for Daz to finish his script. After that it'll be practically the same.

Don't get it twisted though if whatever you want isn't what the majority wants then you won't get it your way. They can't please everybody. The beta is in many ways the foundations for what will come to be. People do need to know that. Do you think hashtags will be taken out? No, they will not, because they are already such a widely used feature.

Whilst I think the layout is rather confusing (at first at least) to what there was before, I am seeing myself adapt to it quite quickly. As someone's said, being a website, it's easier to make changes to than a game. People are bound to have issues though. But you do need to calm down. Your feedback is definitely being listened to by Bungie, DeeJ has assured us. I'm sure that they'll make the changes they see as necessary for the health of the site.

Exactly. It's a beta. A beta is to get feedback and that's exactly what they're doing.

You fail to realize how loosely the term "beta" is used in web design compared to any game's beta. This isn't a game in development with mechanics. This is a website, code that can be completely altered in a fraction of a time to that of a game in beta, to change the overall design and flow of a page. Quit confusing yourself.

I really wish they would go back to the old thread/forum setup. This hashtag feature should have only replaced the search bar, given that's all that it is; a glorified search bar.

People like to say the same shit they've heard other people say because it makes them feel smart. That being said, your choices are adapt or leave. I don't like it, but I'm gonna adapt. Atleast the notifications are nice.

I've mostly gotten used to this format now. It's taken awhile. I'll always have nostalgia for the old site :)

I never implied that the site was going to be completely different, or absolutely perfect from saying that, just... Better than it is now!
