Well if you think about it, if the weather is extremely cold you can wear more clothing. If the weather is extremely hot though, what can you do about it? Taking all your clothes off will only cool you to a certain degree.

  • But all that extra clothing is uncomfortable. Extreme heat is easier to circumvent. What I do, considering most of my "extremely hot" days are upwards of 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit(37-43 Celsius) is go to the movies. Good air conditioning, good entertainment, keeps us occupied, and if it's still hot after the movie, we can see another.

  • Hmm.. that could be what the OP meant too. I live in a deserty part of southern California, and our "extremely hot" spells are usually 1-2 weeks at most. Once the worst day has passed, everything from then on we are able to cope with. There's always one 105+ degree day, then the rest of the 90s aren't so bad. For me at least, some people think its always too hot.
