First, this does NOT belong in #gaming or #feedback. I learned a technique from watching 'No Reservations' - if you're using a skillet or frying pan, season and form your patties as usual. Brush both sides of the burger with butter, then sprinkle just a pinch of sugar on each side. The butter, fat, and sugar will caramelize the bottom, instead of simply charring it. This will lock in a lot of the juice. If done right, a fully cooked burger will be as tender as a rare burger.

  • If you're using a skillet or a frying pan to cook a burger, first and foremost you should slapped. Go put some coals on the grill.

  • Charcoal grilling is by far my preferred method of cooking just about any meat, but I only bust out the grill if I'm cooking for more than myself. Also, you should serve yourself a healthy slapping for every time you've ordered a burger from anywhere but Burger King then, because proportionally few restaurants flame grill them.

  • Then you might as well season your burger with poop, because that is what it will taste like anyway off a frying pan.

  • So do you only eat burgers you make yourself, or from Burger King? Because a huge majority of restaurants that server burgers cook them on a skillet...
