If you follow them, you can view their recent activity in your activity page under the Bungie navbar on the top. On top of that, any posts hidden by that user due to a lot of people disliking one of their threads will be shown to you without a hide. Finally, any Youtube videos or images they embed are automatically shown and you don't have to make an extra click to see them.
