Bungie needs to make a Destiny 3
Let’s be honest, Destiny 2 is in the slums. We’ve been seeing cash grabs and low quality content, compared to recent games. I, personally, believe that the graphics have been sub par and unpolished. At this point, Bungie needs to drop Destiny 2 and start working on Destiny 3. And if they do, here are some things they need to do and why:
1. Polished Graphics: I’ve noticed that when I’m close to objects, they seem pixelated and rough. In fact, the best art I’ve seen in Destiny 2, is the Black Garden, which isn’t seen enough than it deserves to be.
2. More World Exploration: I’ve noticed that there is hardly anywhere to explore. Most buildings on Neptune are blocked and you can hardly appreciate landscapes from where you are, except Europa, but even then, there’s only so much you can look at, before you start to wish you could explore what you’re staring at. Even more so for Mars. When we finally got to revisit Mars, there was hardly anything to explore and still so. The most we have is EDZ, but even then, some of the hidden locations just cut off when you're expecting more.
3. No More Cash grabs: I’ve seen how many cash grabs Bungie has been doing, and it’s killing Destiny 2. The best outfits in Destiny 2 are totally blocked out, because of how much money it costs to get your hands on some Silver. And there’s only so much you can buy with Bright Dust. Then there’s the whole Renegades problem. This has been the biggest cash grab of them all. There is no real story coherence and it’s a total knock off of Star Wars. Dredgen Bael is just a copy paste of Kylo Ren and the Barant Imperium is just The Galactic Empire.
4. No More Armor Mechanic Updates: I, personally, hated how Bungie suddenly decided to change up the armor mechanics and made all my armor the same level. I felt like most of my progress had been totally wiped. I feel that Bungie needs one functioning armor mechanic and stick with it.
5. New Story Arc: If I’m being honest, the Light and Dark saga burned me out. I like the idea of the Nine being the new enemies, but the angle they are aiming for is poor and the story is not compelling enough to visit.
6. Reduce Prices: Bungie seriously overpriced the expansions. I particularly noticed that the Year of Prophecy expansion was 100 bucks to pre-order. And for younger fans, that’s a ridiculous price to ask, especially considering that in 2 years or so, it’ll be free to play. I felt like I got cheated when I paid 30 dollars for Lightfall, just for it to be free a few months later.
