Man the solo lobbies are so toxic, dog eat dog. So different from Arc Raiders where you get to meet people and team up.
If Bungie are going to keep style of game mechanic then we need HUD radar like Destiny PvP for threats and the equivalent of the safe pocket other wise player frustration will rise over time and I would not be surprised to see player numbers fall. The faction ranking system does not compensate especially if you have a losing streak.
Apart from this this the game looks like it could be fun as you get used to the weird interfaces.

I didn’t do any solos. I am guessing if the marathon ship is 35% survival rate, people might team up.

If people were racists, and -blam!- and screaming into the mic slurs, like old MW2 pvp lobbies, I'd consider that toxic. But shooting other people is the game. You don't get safety. It is dog eat dog. The entire game is a bunch of mercenaries fighting. Part of their tagline is "survive." I'm sure some people might try and team up. But i wouldn't expect it to be a norm. Or most players to want it to be the norm. This is not intended to be arc raiders. Yes i think people will quit that don't like losing matches. That's fine every game isn't for everybody. Dark Souls is not for me.

And during the sever slam there isn’t any reason to team up without any permanent progression. I went into solo to hunt players, not team up. I very much see them adding a safe pocket. People are more likely to stay attached to a game if there’s a way to be attached to your loot.

1 ReplyI played solos for singular reason. To grab some easy loot and leave, if I see another person I’m flat out killing them and taking anything of value

That's the point... high intensity high risk you got it or you don't kind of gameplay... There's a reason I prefer Skyrim over dark souls... Or borderlands over arma... ECT... Post

Agreed. I encountered a lot of other solos who were getting blasted by ai and decided to help them but they immediately attack me as well.
