Please hear me out! I think a lot of us have had this idea; one way or another but wouldn't it be great if once a month we had double exotic day.
What made me think of this is the sheer weakness of certain exotics and how that weakness of paired with another could make them fun and groundbreaking to use build wise.
For me I would like to wear Swarmers and Deimofussion together.
Another would be Necrotic Grips and Briar Binds.
Also exotic armour double day is only for armor and not weapons. Maybe that could be another day each month and to keep things fair you couldn't do this inside of PvP. Would be way too broken however I think it would make harder pve missions feel fun to play and not such an unbearable slog.
Would love to hear other guardians thoughts, ideas around this as well as a few pairing ideas.

Edited by Mongoose Mafias: 2/25/2026 7:21:08 PMSomeone else has already brought up that running multiple exotics is impossible in the game. IMO it needs to stay that way because if running multiple exotics is possible anywhere in the game, cheaters will make it possible everywhere in the game. That said, we can still look at what Bungie has done previously and work with that. Look at activities with in-activity buffs like Overthrow, the Nether, and Reclaim. Bungie could create an activity that rewards in-activity buffs that grant generalist abilities similar to specific exotic armor. For your examples given, I think Briarbinds would be impossible to make into a general buff and Deimosuffusion would be difficult, but Swarmers or Necrotic Grips would be pretty easy to make into general buffs. So you can equip Briarbinds or Deimosuffusion as your exotic and pick up your desired pairing as a buff. I think a major upside to this alternative is that these generalist buffs can be picked up by any of the three classes. I personally think a generalist Caliban's Hand (ignition on powered melee kills) would be a lot of fun paired with Melas Panoplia.

That would lead to some scary combos... Vespers and assemblers would be my choice.... Infinite healing shock nova rifts... Post

1 ReplyThe game prevents equipping two exotics on a fundamental level. They can't just flip a switch to change that. They can't even do that in dev environment apparently. So no, not happening.

I did a whole video on this years ago! Before we knew anything about the Exotic Class Items. Would love to see a number of these combos. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2138787995?collection=wv3YjVQMxBdBUQ
