I do, that person does, everyone else does (who isn't new..), they sunset shards and now we use a single enhancement core for anything up to 200 but somehow unstable cores are now needed to do the job of ONE upgrade module (that now dismantles into one enh. core) Bungie took a system that worked and made it worse in the name of padding out the grind, that's a horrible way to make a system, specially one that just worked fine before. Why are you defending this absurdity? The only way you'd be sitting on 100+ k cores is if you literally equipped anything with a bigger number even if a worse tier and yeeted anything else.. That isn't fun gameplay.

You dismantle any gear above 200 and it gives you unstable cores. The only way you wouldn't have plenty of cores, is if you infuse everything, or stick it on the vault. Like wtf...

Must be because unlike us you're only using ONE character and neglect your others.. as that's less variables that factor in your case, the core cost goes up the bigger the gap between the source and target is, specially when it isn't "bungie approved" gear, congrats on sitting on 500k cores you'd have used if you used your other characters to keep up. This is something that needs to change, either have this garbo system removed OR they put it on a flat rate of 1500-2000 cores for anything regardless of power difference.
