drop theories for renegades down below!
me personally i hope it has more lore drops relating to the winnower since shadows of yor follow sword logic (the main villain is confirmed to be a dredgen)

Space western set on a desert planetoid, hunting down dark guardians that followed the Witness and are on the run. Team up with Shin Malphur, voiced by Timothy Olyphant, to take down these rogue guardians. Similar to forsaken where we hunt down the barons. Final boss is a body horror like amalgamation of all the dead guardians we’ve slain. Think The Thing from the 80s.

How about this for a spin. Our character has been framed by who ever the main villain is and we are on the run while we try to clear our name. Who am I kidding. Bungie would never write a Space Western.

We meet a man whom we may confuse as an anti-hero or as a Wolf in sheep's clothing... his moniker reminiscent of the mythological Loki (Lodi). Maybe. Or maybe he's the boatman 👀. To our hell. To our Dark Future. The "Edge of Fate". In Renegades we find out how Ghaul invaded the Last City... or rather who helped him. In Renegades we find out why the Drifter ran away from the Storm when he first met Cayde... while Cayde the Renegade ran towards it. Think of Calus as Jabba the Hut... and Cayde as Hans Solo if Hans Solo acted like John Wick... or The Punisher. That was Cayde before & during Clovis... before Maya, before the Vanguard. [spoiler]Exo's don't need to be wiped... Clovis did that to keep a leash on his #1 Assassin and chief of security. Cayde, I believe was one of the first... and he WAS Godlike even before becoming an exo. Clovis and Calus used his family to blackmail him... that's why he ended up ultimately doing their dirty deeds. Drifter is arguably one of the strongest individuals and he's survived from running FROM what Cayde ran TOWARDS. He was afraid of Cayde... if I'm not making that clear. [/spoiler] Renegade Cayde. Maybe we'll meet him... maybe we won't want to.

3 RepliesSo we know it involves the Dregens and the Cabal. Currently, there are two cabal faction (3 if you included the remnants of the Red Legion). That is Caitals Ascendancy and the Shadow Legion. The Shadow Legion without Calus, the Witness, or the Echo of Control are directionless, Mindless slaves (Bungies attempt at making it so they don’t have to include a bunch of Cabal Characters). So, what if an incredibly powerful Lightbearer, one capable of wielding the Darkness to an extreme efficacy, so much so as to create a Weapon of Sorrow without the usage of Eris and her Hive Magic, were to start controlling the Shadow Legion. You’d essentially have the Empire and Darth Vader/Palpatine.
