I’d start looking for a new job if I was working for Bungie.

6 RepliesEdited by TripleF73: 7/7/2025 10:34:44 PMRemoving Legacy Fireteam Finder is another L in a series of L’s coming in Edge of Fate. Bungie got their way again. Pushed out the best players to third party apps like discord and the100 Some good players still use the new Fireteam Finder and I’ve had good experiences on there. But the annoyance and laziness of the implementation of the checkpoints is, in my opinion, unforgivable. Especially given how versatile Legacy is/was. How -blam!--ing hard is it, for each raid to be given proper checkpoint names on Fireteam Finder? Ie for KF At Relics (Opening the encounter ), At Annihilator Totems, At Warpriest, At Golgoroth, At Daughters of Oryx, At Oryx, the Taken King. They have Fresh and Final Checkpoint so they would do for the all the raids, but they’ve had since November ‘23 or late January ‘24 to sort it out and they have just failed at making it semi-useful in this regard. I guess that’s Bungie’s way, make half baked 💩, then just get on to making something else half baked. RIP legacy FfF. Edit spelling, grammar and this:- Also Bungie’s way, fixing what isn’t broken or replacing it with something worse. That could be EoF’s tagline 🤣

2 RepliesLegacy FTF removal is massive L. If they’re gonna remove it at least they should add more customization and freedom to the current garbage one.
-
1 ReplyThis is absolutely Dog Water. Legacy Fireteam Finder was great for finding specific goals and achievements and objectives that the In Game FF simply can’t do. If you gave us the freedom to type out the title and specifics of a Fireteam listing, then people wouldn’t be upset, but no, you’re removing a good system to support one that is far worse.
-
I gave up the campaign on step 9. Stupid garbage just leads to dead ends with no indication as to what to do. Awesome. Super fun.
-
3 RepliesStill extremely mad about the removal of legacy fireteam finder
-
1 ReplyAh yes, removing the only meaningful form of LFG from the game. Very cool. A very stunning and brave move from bungie once again.

4 RepliesEdited by THA_3rd_GUY: 7/7/2025 6:37:46 PMRemoving Legacy Fireteam Finder is the biggest L I've seen coming with Edge. I've used both the New Fireteam Finder and in-game Fireteam Finder. They're both alright, but Legacy Fireteam Finder is so much better than them. Removing it is a huge mistake.

4 RepliesNow the cringy Bungie fanboy group I created when I was 13 back during the Halo 2 days can finally, truly die. Also though, RIP to groups.
-
4 RepliesLegacy fireteam finder is by far superior than what is in game and the upgraded version.
-
Use fireteams on Reddit, you can type what you want. If you don’t like the new fireteam finder
-
"Legacy Fireteam Removal" Bungie is a machine that turns basic decisions to the most massive L's imaginable.
-
1 ReplyYet another reason not to buy this steaming pile
-
1 ReplyThe old fireteam finder in this app is far superior to the current system.
-
Finding a firetem in the app was 1000% more effective and convenient. Literally, everything you ( Bungie ) does is meant to upset and discourage people.

Will we be seeing more vault consuming additions like exotic class items or ergo Sums?
-
What's the point to remove them? Players do use legacy fireteam. I know there's a lot of more things in destiny that Bungie should be more concerned about other than removing a few little unnecessary stuff you know like the increase amount of cheaters and increase toxicity from players in co op.
-
Very disappointing. Community creations weren’t used much and it was cool, but groups? That’s history that’s being tossed away. History you were likely a part of. But above all else, removing legacy fireteam finder? Something that’s obviously better than what’s in game? No wonder this game is sinking, and no wonder these forums are dying.
-
Don’t remove legacy finder it’s so much better than the new version
-
3 RepliesWhy are you removing legacy Fireteam finder?! What in the world is going on with you guys?! Is it because this fireteams wasn’t universally accepted and many are still going back to the legacy? There has to be a technical explanation behind this right?

4 RepliesEdited by Spawn: 7/7/2025 5:19:56 PMF in the chat. If you want more context of when Bungie Announce the end of Groups, here it is all the way back to October 2023.
CLOSING THE CHAPTER ON GROUPS Originally Published October 12th, 2023 On November 14, 2001, Groups (then known as Chapters) were created to help foster our community. Throughout the years, Groups have been vitally important to Bungie.net, creating the first forums for the website. However, for the past decade, Group usage has slowly been decreasing, to the point where we believe it’s time to say goodbye to them. Within the past six months, out of the 5.1-million Groups that have been created, only 65 were active with at least one post in them. Breaking that down further, only 16 were active in the past month, 10 of those had over 10 posts in them, and only 3 broke over 100 posts. This decision did not come lightly, and we’ve been postponing it for several years. But with our website’s future hosting multiple IPs, we must upgrade and begin the process of shutting down older features that no longer see usage. Over the next few months, Groups will be set to read-only, to allow users to view ones they are a part of and save their memories before we fully shut them down. We don’t currently have a firm timeline yet, but once we do, we’ll let you know.
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/this-week-in-destiny-10-12-23

Man they really don’t want people to play this game🤣

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
It shows up there outdated clunky simple in-game lfg system, it's got to go, can't have people seeing something better is possible -
1 ReplyEdited by SavvyMon: 7/7/2025 11:59:14 PMRemoving the legacy fireteam finder might possibly be the stupidest thing they’ve announced in regard to edge of fate’s release. And it’s not even associated with the actual DLC 😂.
