Cross Save Licensing Issues

Hello, I discovered EPIC Games has been displaying my real name on my Bungie profile as part of Cross Save. The only way to remove Epic from Cross Save was to disable the feature altogether because it was a "platform". My profile now shows my Epic gamer tag even though cross save was disabled. No accounts were actually removed. I was not aware this would affect Steam licensing from my account. All of my licenses are on Steam and my save data was stored in my Microsoft account. The biggest issue I'm having is that even with all of my licenses in Steam I am unable to access dungeons and other content. The Bungie support article for missing items say to go to Steam Support. Steam Support says to contact Bungie for missing in game content. How do I get my licenses on Steam recognized by Bungie on the Steam platform so my content is available? I don't care about save data but I do care that I can't access the content I have licenses for. An example would be dungeon keys. I can't access Sundered Doctrine because it says I need the Final Shape dungeon key. I have the license for that. There isn't anything I don't have a license for. Another example would be that my current season pass is locked even though it was redeemed through my Steam account (like every other license). I understand the save data is stored on the original character but the licenses are linked to the platform they were claimed on. I claimed everything up to date on Steam. N.B. I purchased the licenses for Xbox today (July 02 2025) so I can access my save data and utilize cross play while I wait the 90 day period to link Xbox and Steam but that doesn't fix the Steam licenses.

  • Hello there, Expansions (Forsaken pack /Shadow-keep/Beyond Light/30th Anniversary pack/Witch Queen/Lightfall/Final Shape/Year of Prophecy) do not transfer and must be purchased on each platform you wish to play them on.
Do my previous game purchases transfer across platforms? No. The things you have purchased from your PC or Console stores will remain on the platforms where you bought them. These includes games or balances of Silver. Cross Save enables you to access the Guardians and Collections on one Active Account from wherever you play. The things that you acquire for your characters in the game are what move with you from one platform to another.
That said, items such as annual passes and dungeon keys are treated as in game unlocks and are bound to the character set/save file that was active at time of purchase. So as you can see here, https://crimson.report/4611686018466892174/4611686018483816333 . Your Microsoft account characters have access to the season passes and dungeons while your Steam characters can only access the main expansion content.

Expansion licenses are tied to the platform account. Episode passes and Dungeon keys are applied to the active Destiny 2 account (for cross-saved accounts this is the active profile) at the time of sign in after purchase, in your case it was your Xbox's account. Your licenses are exactly where they are supposed to be because of your cross-save setup at the time of purchasing and signing in. You can access those licenses while on Xbox (Xbox App for PC would also allow them). Now you don't have cross-save enabled you don't get a second set of Episode passes/Dungeon keys for your Steam destiny account. https://crimson.report/4611686018466892174/4611686018483816333
