So some are playing a game that isn’t updated and not playing a game that is updated…
You seem to play a lot so don’t you want new loot that matters over the majority of loot you gained by playing years ago?
Old weapons and armor will be viable to use as you chase new gear to replace it.
I don’t understand the logic of grinding characters to 2040 plus power and being upset that you’ll have better gear to grind in a month.

new loot is nice, but tbh, its a pointless sentiment when Bungie mess around with the "new loot", by nerfing or sunsetting it, change its fire rate, change its damage stats, force feed its use, so the New loot isn't the "new loot" they promised you, lies and misleading info to pull you in, to then spit you out whenever they choose to, D1 is the same as it was, fun and free running, they don't touch it, so what you see is what you get .. Old school, no woke bullshit ..

How is everything nerfed? I don’t think you understand the changes as a whole. You can lean into the same builds and get bonuses in the new system. Granted you have to farm the armor but it’s a looter. As always any change is assumed to be bad. Everyone said the same exact things last time armor changed and it’s wound up a much better system. Obviously weapons will be a little better with enhanced barrels and origin traits but that seems nominal to me. The big change is armor and I’m all for it seeing half the loot table became instant delete.

Gambler's dodge on Hunter nerf kills Hunter even for non-melee builds. Hard enough to get the same damage output or higher even with full on rotations.

There are always work arounds and people said the same thing when armor changes last time. Here we are at a point where we have never ever been as powerful. The game needs a shakeup and normal balancing is part of any game that’s been around. Hell Divers, Diablo, Marvel rivals etc all have balancing patches, power resets and or sunsetting to keep things under control. It’s not just something Bungie does lol.

Well the class that takes the most work to reach the same damage as other classes and is the least used class now and has been for quite some time for endgame content really didn't need a nerf. But, I appreciate the sentiment!

Referring to the Bungie ethos, give new gear, introduce it as the ultimate, then, when everyone says wow its awesome, it becomes meta, Bungie nerf it, Gjallahorn, icebreaker to name just 2, many many weapons and armour are given the same intro and eventual nerf treatment, all in the bullshit name of "sandbox balancing" .. The Bungie of Halo days, and even Destiny 1 days, no longer exists, greed and wokeness has been the way of Bungie for a long time now, and, next season, in my opinion, we will see the return of a reinvented form of FOMO ...

Yup, SirWrinklebutt … spot on! Look how many times we’ve had Bait and Switch with PreOrder Exotics actually being quite good, only to be nerfed to obscurity shortly after general release.

You miss the part with sunsetting in D1? Lol have fun though. Great game but surpassed by D2 at Forsaken. Nostalgia does has its moments though.

lol you like the word woke. Nerfs are a part of the game and always have been including D1. Things are broken and they eventually receive the hammer. It’s time for a new armor system and I’m looking forward to it.

As for nerfing, yes, its part of the Bungie way, rarely seen to the same extent in other games compared to Bungie games .. New armour system, perhaps, personal opinion, me, its about the hook, they are hoping to attract new and old players, and they will, initially, won't last though .. You like the idea, thats fine, you are entitled to your opinion, but so am I, and I stand by it, time will tell which opinion holds ..

So you’re helping financially support an agenda you’re opposed to. I think the new armor system will be even better although I’m a firm believer in first hand experience before propping something up or testing it down. It looks good on paper. Grenade builds look to be broken. I guess we will all find out pretty soon.
